Kids Cookie Decorating Party

During Spring Break, I hosted a Cookie Decorating Party for kids in my neighborhood as well as friend's kids.

This is the invite that I sent out via Facebook. I designed it to be bright and fun!

The day of the party, I set out a Welcome Sign on my porch, wrote down directions on a chalkboard, and set out the un-frosted cookies on pretty trays.

I pre-made brightly colored icings, and put scoops into little individual cups with enough to frost a single cookie....

....and pulled out all my Spring-themed Sprinkles and toppings:

I had small plastic cups on hand for little hands to more easily top their cookies...and to keep them from dumping half the bottle on a single cookie!
Next time I do this kind of party, I'm going to pre-portion the amounts, and have less variety. Some of the kids thought they needed to put some of Everything on their cookie!

Look at all the fun we had!

Me with some of my little friends, and the cookies that I made during the party:

Some of my friends weren't able to bring their kids over, so I made up some "Decorating Kits" and took them to their homes!

I'll be doing this again soon....maybe for the 4th of July, but for sure in the Fall because I have some really fun ideas for decorating fall themed cookies!

Do you want my yummy recipes?

You can find them here!
